Bringing over 30 years of experience to her clients, Ms. Rice was co-partner of GBR Wealth Management and Director of Private Client Services with East West Wealth Management. She has also spent over 14 years servicing both institutional and private investment clients at Bishop Street Capital Management, BancWest Corporation and BNP Paribas, as Vice President and Senior Investment Officer. Ms. Rice is a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA) and a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).

OREST SAIKEVYCH

Partner, Chief Investment Officer

Orest Saikevych has over 40 years of experience as a portfolio manager in Hawaii. Prior to joining The Rice Partnership, Mr. Saikevych managed equity portfolios, fixed income and tax-exempt portfolios for Central Pacific Bank. He also managed multi-million dollar mutual funds for Bank of Hawaii and First Hawaiian Bank.

SARAH BREDHOFF

Partner, Senior Wealth Manager 

Sarah Bredhoff is Senior Wealth Manager in charge of our Maui office. Born and raised in Kaupo, she brings over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry to her clients on the Valley Isle. Previously, Ms. Bredhoff was Vice President and Private Banking Officer at First Hawaiian Bank, handling investments, trust administration and estate planning for high net worth families and individuals. She earned a BA degree from St. Mary’s College of Maryland.

LIA YOUNG

Partner, Director of Operations & Client Service

With over 20 years of experience in finance and client services, Ms. Young is the firm’s Director of Operations & Client Service. Prior to joining The Rice Partnership, she was the Senior Accountant for the Hawaii Community Foundation, responsible for the core accounting functions of the Foundation’s operating fund, payroll management and benefit administration and compliance. Ms. Young holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Hawaii-Manoa.

ASHLEY WILKEN, CFP®

Senior Wealth Manager, Portfolio Manager

Ashley Wilken heads up The Rice Partnership’s office in San Luis Obispo, California. Ms. Wilken is a Cal Poly graduate with a degree in Agribusiness and an MBA with a concentration in Agribusiness. Previous to The Rice Partnership, she worked as a commercial and agricultural lender in San Luis Obispo County. Ms. Wilken is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM and NFLPA Registered Player Financial Advisor.

CATHY TAJIRI

Senior Wealth Manager

Cathy Tajiri is a Senior Wealth Manager in our Honolulu office. She has been assisting clients with a wide range of financial needs for over 20 years. Ms. Tajiri was a former Vice President and Relationship Manager with The Private Bank at Bank of Hawaii. She was also a Vice President and Financial Consultant with Charles Schwab for almost 18 years. Ms. Tajiri graduated with a BA from the University of Hawaii-Manoa and holds an Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS) designation.

Certified Financial PlannersTM (CFP®) are licensed by the CFP® Board to use the CFP® mark. CFP® certification requirements include: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, completion of the financial planning education requirements set by the CFP® Board (www.cfp.net), successful completion of the CFP® Certification Exam, comprised of two three-hour sessions, experience requirement: 6,000 hours of professional experience related to the financial planning process, or 4,000 hours of Apprenticeship experience that meets additional requirements, successfully pass the Candidate Fitness Standards and background check, agree annually to be bound by CFP® Board’s Standards of Professional Conduct, and complete 30 hours of continuing education every two years, including two hours on the Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct.
