Bringing over 30 years of experience to her clients, Ms. Rice has spent over 14 years servicing both institutional and private investment clients at Bishop Street Capital Management, BancWest Corporation and BNP Paribas, as Vice President and Senior Investment Officer. A graduate of Texas Tech University and the National Trust School at Northwestern University, Ms. Rice is a Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA) and a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC)..


Partner, Chief Investment Officer

Orest Saikevych has over 40 years of experience as a portfolio manager in Hawaii. Prior to joining The Rice Partnership, he was the Fund Manager for the Pacific Capital Value Fund, a $170 million mutual fund for Bank of Hawaii. Mr. Saikevych also managed $300 million in trust and equity funds for First Hawaiian Bank, as well as equity, fixed income and tax- exempt portfolios for Central Pacific Bank. He holds an MBA degree in finance and economics from the University of Chicago.



Partner, Senior Wealth Manager 

Sarah Bredhoff is Senior Wealth Manager in charge of our Maui office. Born and raised in Kaupo, she brings over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry to her clients on the Valley Isle. Previously, Ms. Bredhoff was Vice President and Private Banking Officer at First Hawaiian Bank, handling investments, trust administration and estate planning for high net worth families and individuals. She earned a BA degree from St. Mary’s College of Maryland.


Partner, Director of Operations & Client Services

With over 20 years of experience in finance and client services, Ms. Young is the firm’s Director of Operations & Client Services. Prior to joining The Rice Partnership, she was the Senior Accountant for the Hawaii Community Foundation, responsible for the core accounting functions of the Foundation’s operating fund, payroll management and benefit administration and compliance. Ms. Young holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Hawaii-Manoa.

Ashley Wilken heads up The Rice Partnership’s offices in California. Ms. Wilken is a Cal Poly graduate with a degree in Agribusiness and an MBA with a concentration in Agribusiness. Previous to The Rice Partnership, she worked as a commercial and agricultural lender in San Luis Obispo County. Ms. Wilken is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM, Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA) and NFLPA Registered Player Financial Advisor.


Senior Wealth Manager

Cathy Tajiri is a Senior Wealth Manager in our Honolulu office. She has been assisting clients with a wide range of financial needs for over 20 years. Ms. Tajiri was a former Vice President and Relationship Manager with The Private Bank at Bank of Hawaii. She was also a Vice President and Financial Consultant with Charles Schwab for almost 18 years. Ms. Tajiri graduated with a BA from the University of Hawaii-Manoa and holds an Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS) designation.



Portfolio Manager

Brian Tokuuke adds 12 years of asset management experience to our team. Previously, he was an Assistant Vice President and Portfolio Manager at First Hawaiian Bank, managing fixed income accounts for private and institutional clients. A Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA),
Mr. Tokuuke has an MBA from the Shidler College of Business at the University of Hawaii and a BA from Occidental College in Los Angeles.


Trader & Research Analyst

Colleen Milbury’s extensive analytical and quantitative background help our wealth management team make informed market decisions and find smart technical solutions. Dr. Milbury was previously a Vice-President and Sr. Analytics Manager at Bank of Hawaii, as well as an Assistant Vice President at First Hawaiian Bank. She has an MS and PhD in Geophysics and Space Physics from UCLA and a BS in Physics from UC, Santa Cruz. She will be receiving a Global MBA from the University of Hawaii in Spring 2025.




As paraplanner at our San Luis Obispo office, Tyler Sanchez assists
with financial planning, investment-related analysis and reports. Mr. Sanchez was formally an Assistant Vice President and Financial Solutions Advisor with Merrill Lynch-San Luis Obispo and a Client Service Associate at UBS Financial Services-Walnut Creek. He graduated with a BS in Business from California Polytechnic State University and recently earned a Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorSM (CRPC) designation.

Certified Financial PlannersTM (CFP®) are licensed by the CFP® Board to use the CFP® mark. CFP® certification requirements include: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, completion of the financial planning education requirements set by the CFP® Board (, successful completion of the CFP® Certification Exam, comprised of two three-hour sessions, experience requirement: 6,000 hours of professional experience related to the financial planning process, or 4,000 hours of Apprenticeship experience that meets additional requirements, successfully pass the Candidate Fitness Standards and background check, agree annually to be bound by CFP® Board’s Standards of Professional Conduct, and complete 30 hours of continuing education every two years, including two hours on the Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct.
